Team Timeline

Welcome to the timeline page! This tracks how our team has changed from our creation, to our various roster changes, and all of our tournament runs.

If you're interested in seeing all our tournament runs in their full glory, then check out our sendou page as that's where they are listed. This won't include scrims (obviously).

2025

  • February 3rd: Mesopelagic is conceptualized by NamNam, Crystal, and Basalt, originally as a pick-up for Leagues Under the Ink (LUTI).
  • March 5th: Mesopelagic's team Discord is formed. Instead of signing up for LUTI, they decide to form as an actual team.
  • Mid-March: Blindsided, Liss, and Train are recruited to the team.
  • March 22nd: Milk joins the roster as a coach.
  • April 18th: Mesopelagic has their first tournament run: From the Ink Up 76.
  • April 24th: Cyima joins the roster as a coach.
  • May 24th: Mesopelagic has their second tournament run: Mug Cup 26.
  • June 1st: TemporaryHeart joins the roster as a cheerleader.
  • June 15th: Third tournament run: World 9 Mission 14. Mesopelagic places 3rd in the lower bracket.
  • July 9th: Mesopelagic participates in Swim or Sink 193, their first open-level tournament.
  • August 10th: Mesopelagic participates in World 9 Mission 16.
  • August: Mesopelagic goes on a month-long hiatus.
  • September 3rd: Mesopelagic participates in Swim or Sink 199, returning from their hiatus.
  • Mid-September: Blindsided and Crystal depart from Mesopelagic due to real-life conflicts.
  • October 4th: This website is created!
  • October 8th: Wufnik is recruited as the fifth member of Mesopelagic.
  • October 26th: Mesopelagic gets 5th in Setting Sail 4.

2026

  • Early-January: Wufnik departs the team due to real-life conflicts.
  • January 11th: Mesopelagic participates in Miku Miku Beam 32.
  • January 13th: Random is recruited to the team!
  • January 29th: Milk and Cyima both depart the team as coaches.
  • February 4th: Mesopelagic starts working on their branding.
  • February 10th: Mesopelagic participates in Tristrike Tuesday 54.
  • February 12th: Mesopelagic welcomes Jobb as their new full-time coach.
  • February–March: Mesopelagic participates in Leagues Under the Ink season 17. They are seeded division 10.
